Vendor bids won by offering the best price for the departments over personal earning value. With creative design and reasonable pricing resulted in growing clientele.
What began as a single departmental project evolved into a multi-year, multi-department partnership with one of the most respected healthcare institutions in the country—Johns Hopkins Hospital. I had the privilege of designing, sourcing, and delivering custom promotional items for four JHH departments, starting with Pediatric Nursing and expanding from there.
The Challenge: The first major project required sourcing and delivering over 1,400 promotional gifts for individual units within the Department of Pediatric Nursing—all under tight deadlines and within strict budget parameters. The stakes were high: every item had to reflect the hospital’s standards of excellence and compassion while also being meaningful to recipients.
My Approach: I approached the project with a service-first mindset and a commitment to creativity. My responsibilities included:
Creative Sourcing: I sought out boutique-quality apparel and gifts that stood apart from typical promotional items—moving beyond the standard t-shirts and towels to deliver items staff truly appreciated.
Budget-Conscious Execution: Every item was selected with value and longevity in mind, ensuring each department maximized its investment.
Efficient Delivery & Communication: I managed timelines, vendor relationships, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery, even on compressed schedules.
Depart Growth: I focused on proactive communication and exceeding expectations, which led to growing trust and repeat collaborations across multiple departments.
